Dusty, I think about you alot. I'm going to come by this weekend, so be expecting me! I miss you... I'm sure you have heard from your mom about me.... I had cancer at the begining of this summer--it was, next to hearing about losing you to the heavens, the most painful thing I ever had to hear. I never thought in a million years "it could happen to me", but it did. It was alot like hearing about the accident and losing you... --My heart sunk, I lost my breath, tears were instintanious, i went completely numb and I can't remember much of the rest of the day after hearing the aweful news...both times were so blurred and what I kept thinking both times was... "this can't happen to us..." and "This can't happen to me...". But like I said and like you know, it did. I hate to say it but I was almost mad, at who I'm not sure, that I at the age of 19 got cancer. And not even that, I got a type of cancer that there is, as of now, no reason or past history of why I should have gotten it. Well I got the surgery and I am probably the luckiest girl I know to have had cancer a little over 8 weeks ago and able to say I am cancer free with no need of Cemo. I am so blessed with a guardian angel up there with you, thanks for putting in a good word. I feel selfish that I only went through eight weeks, even though at the time it seem like years, when some people go through it for years and years. It was and is so hard to stay strong about all of it when all I want to do is cry when I think of the pain I went through and the pain people from here on out with have to battle. I am so lucky to have had the surgery and be as good as I am right now. Your mom is amazing, I have recieved 3 cards from her angel family friends. It breaks my heart that all of the amazing and wonderful people who had to go through losing someone. I have the uttmost respect for your mom and everyone who has the strength to carry on. They know the meaning of life, and they understand how precious life is. The support of family and friends is what kept me going and pushing to the finish line. I feel like I went through this experience because I am meant to do something in life. I meant to help people. I just don't know where my help is meant to be....
